Charles Drescher “Chuck” Haga passed away at his home on December 16, 2020, at the age of 62.
Chuck was born November 14, 1958, in Brookfield, Missouri to Mary Margaret Drescher Haga and Richard Duane Haga. He lost his mother at the age of 8 while he was running to go get help for her and it seemed he never stopped running until he was reunited with her again.
He is survived by two brothers, Mike (Sandy) Haga, Steve (Sherry) Haga, sister Shelly Haga, nieces, Ashley (Jeff) Anglin, Kristen Haga, Amy (Alex) Fitzpatrick, Elise Swearingen, nephews, Sean Haga, Dustin Haga, stepchildren, Mandy (Shawn) Moore, Brandi Sullivan, Candice (Brian) Verstraete and Trevor (Ashley) Sullivan. He is also survived by many friends who he affectionately referred to as “Buddy” or “Babe” whose projects he enjoyed helping with and lessons he enjoyed teaching. In 2014, he was married to Theresa Sullivan, who survives.
He was proceeded in death by his parents and sisters, Holly Swearingen and Karen Haga.
He was given a Volkswagen that needed the motor assembled for his 16th birthday and the seed was set for one of the best mechanics in Butler county. He had an Automotive Master Mechanic Certificate and was a Toyota Master Mechanic.
He lived life fast and loud, enjoying storytelling and was like a walking history book. He loved his animals probably more than any humans and spoiled them rotten.
His big booming laugh will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held at a later time when we all can share stories, pictures, tears, laughter, and a drink in his honor. It is requested that your pictures and stories of Chuck be brought to the memorial and shared and will be added to a memory book.
He was an organ donor.
